OUR STORY

Honey & Butter is a specialty macaron shop located inside the shopping center of Irvine Spectrum in Irvine, California.

Honey & Butter is owned & managed by Leanne & Pawel Pietrasinski.

We both are self-taught bakers. Everything we have learned up to this point is from either trial & error, personal experiences, or the desire to be better at what we do. We started baking macarons from our studio apartment in 2014 then selling them out of a rental airstream trailer at THE LAB in Costa Mesa.

We’ve come a long way since then. Our concept evolved from just a few macaron flavors to a spectacular selection that rotates weekly. We also hold events, featuring brands & other small businesses that we personally love.

Our macarons are baked in the morning from Wednesday to Monday (gotta have one day of rest :)). Unlike traditional macarons, we do not age ours.

All of our ingredients are personally sourced by us. We make all of our buttercreams, jams, reductions, sauces, & ganache in-house. Prepping our ingredients in-house, while tedious & requires much more labor, gives us control over the sweetness & texture of the final product that we cannot get with a premade market-bought product.
